Mid Century afromosia and teak highboard by Portwood.
This attractive mid century highboard is a fine example of British design and quality manufacture. It was probably manufactured by Portwood Furniture, one of the few Northern based mid century manufacturers during the 50s-70s.
Built from teak veneer with afromosia wood curved handles, the unit has ample multi-purpose storage space, comprising of a glass display upper section and open display area/bookcase underneath. The base includes three drawers and a two door cabinet. It is a sturdy and well designed piece that would stand the test of time in any Modernist/contemporary interior.
