Nordisk Solar was founded in 1919. The company started business as an import and wholesale company of electricity meters. Later they produced radios under the name Audiola. Since the early 1960s “Solar” focused on high-quality lightingand and became one of the leading players in Danihs lighting design manufacture. Designers that worked for the company are, among others: Vagn Dyring, Preben Fabricius, Sven Middelboe and Jørn Utzon. Production ended in 1989.
We are unable to attribute this design to any of the lighting designers listed above however the original fitting instructions accompany this pendant proving the provenance of this delightful pendant.

Condition: Excellent, refurbished, rewired and PAT tested. Hairline crack (repaired) to plastic ceiling rose. Some very slight age related wear which does not detract from the overall appearance. Please review all photographs as they form part of the description of this piece. Fully functional on 110v electricity supply.
Materials: Constructed from spun aluminium and steel and assembled using solid copper blind nuts and bolts.
Dimensions. 40cm diameter x 20cm high, adjustable cable length via friction pulley system.
