      Traditional Pure Wool Vintage Bulgarian Rug, Blanket or Throw. 

      This super soft, pure 100% wool traditional Bulgarian rug or blanket was hand crafted for one previous owner in the village of Boyanovo, within the Yambol and Elhovo regions. A beautifully made rustic rug that has practicality at its core but lends a sumptuous, almost 1970's Bohemian air to interiors. The wool pile will keep you cosy whilst the gorgeous pattern and style will enhance your home.

      Rug making is heritage craft that has been passed down the generations and involves hand looming sheep wool into patterned rugs and blankets that are individually knotted by hand. A painstaking process that requires dedication, skills and patience.

      This is a unique vintage rug. No two will be identical due to the individual patterns used and the hand made nature of the process. These are traditionally used in the colder regions of Bulgaria as blankets across beds but are also used as floor rugs.

      Imagine sinking into the thick, cosy wool pile during the cold Winter months or bedding underneath it to enjoy a 100% natural sleep. Either way, you will be snug as a bug.
