1960s teak dining chairs by Danish designer Kurt Østervig for KP Mobler.
This striking set of six dining chairs is of quality design and build with sculptured curved seat backs and rounded, tapered leg frames. The seat pads have been professionally reupholstered in black vinyl, a beautiful contrast to the warm, reddish teak tones. A stunning example of mid century modern Danish design.
Kurt Østervig was a leading danish designer who is known for his harmonious use with wood to make elegant furniture. He is particularly recognised for his mid century furniture design. Following his time working as a designer for the renowned E. Knudsen, Østervig founded his own design studio in 1947. His pieces today are collector's items and can be seen in museums internationally including MoMA in New York.
These are collectible pieces of 20th Century Danish design - form and function in perfect complement. An ultra stylish set of chairs for your home interior and an investment purchase restored to last many years to come.
