Denby Chevron Stoneware Bowl

1 item left

 1960's Denby Chevron stoneware bowl.

This classic design has a matt earthy green glaze, smooth shape and four lines of the chevron indents across its lower section. Designed by Gill Pemberton and launched in 1962, the design came in a vast array of tableware, some of which is also available from AndersBrowne Interiors. This design was launched as Camelot in the American market.

Created to last, Denby ceramics are recognisable for their beautiful designs in fine glazes that are high in quality and incredibly robust.

This elegant serving bowl is perfect for salads or rice and forms part of a grand series of 70 pieces produced in the Chevron range. Earlier pieces were hand thrown and finished with a roller to give the textured geometric pattern. A much loved Mid Century design that  endures and looks as fresh today as it did 60 years ago.

Shown here with matching vinegar bottle (sold separately).
