Denby Chevron Sauce Jug

1 item left

1960's Denby Chevron stoneware sauce jug.

A thing of beauty, this is a classic Mid Century creation. With its practical and almost sculptural style, this Chevron jug has a matt earthy green glaze, smooth shape and three lines of the chevron indents across its lower section.

Designed by Gill Pemberton and launched in 1962, Chevron came in a vast array of tableware, some of which is also available from AndersBrowne Interiors. This design was launched as Camelot in the American market.

Created to last, Denby ceramics are recognisable for their beautiful designs in fine glazes that are high in quality and incredibly robust. This elegant piece is ideal for serving sauces and gravy straight from the kitchen to the dinner table. 70 items in total complete the Chevron range - earlier pieces were hand thrown and finished with a roller to give the textured geometric pattern.

This is a much loved Mid Century design that  endures and looks as fresh today as it did 60 years ago.
