G Plan Garrick Mahogany Nest of Tables Model 3617M by Leslie Dandy.

This fine 1980's nest of tables was included in the G Plan New Models Folder in 1984.

Designed by Leslie Dandy, the nest of occasional tables model 3617M are part of the Garrick range, which featured a more decorative style in a rich, dark wood. The series also included a four poster bed and matching bedroom furniture finished with brass details. Living room pieces that matched this trio of tables included a full dining suite, occasional tables and modular wall units that stretched around half a room - for that home library look!

Style wise, this is a lovely set with curved back struts and feet. The shape is typical of the wave of nostalgia that influenced 1980's interior design trends, and is reminiscent of 1930's furniture and Art Deco style.

A stylish nest of tables that is multifunctional too. Use the nest as a side table and pull out the under tables when you need extra surface space for cups etc or spread them around the home to use as lamp or plant stands.

The richness of the wood and the elegant shapes mean these would look fetching set against a white or pale neutral wall. Ideal for contemporary interiors - 2020s does 1980s does 1930s style!
