British Mid Century Modern set of four dining chairs by Elliotts of Newbury.

This is a rare and highly attractive set of four dining chairs by British firm, Elliotts of Newbury. With sleek, rounded back and legs in teak, complemented by the stylish three prong bentwood seat backs, its design is reminiscent of the classic Danish chair designs of Johannes Andersen and British G-Plan Brasilia range. 

The chairs have been professionally reupholstered in black vinyl and are in excellent refurbished condition.

Condition: Excellent. Professionally stripped, sanded, and refinished to an exacting standard with a durable lacquer finish. Elliotts of Newbury was established in 1895 as Elliotts Joinery and Moulding Company by Samuel and Albert Eliiott. The family had a long history and high profile reputation in quality joinery and engineering. Aside from furniture design and manufacture, which became the core business from 1919 onwards, the company was instrumental in both World Wars in the production of aircraft glider components. This speciality in wood engineering and design comes through in all of the Elliotts' furniture designs.
