1960's White and Newton Dressing Table

White and Newton of Portsmouth, like many other British Mid Century manufacturers, was heavily involved in the WW2 effort, employing new and innovative technologies in the production of aircraft and parts.

Following the war, it returned to furniture making and adapted these new methods into the creation of modern and ergonomic designs.

This beautiful dressing table is a wonderful example of mid century British furniture using simple design principles with the addition of elegant recessed handles in beech trim.
